Terms of service
Last updated 14 October 2026
These are the rules for using JobQuote. We have tried to write them in plain language. By creating an account or using JobQuote you agree to them.
1. Who we are
JobQuote is run by [PLACEHOLDER: registered business name and address] (“we”, “us”). “You” means the person who creates the account and the business it is for. If you use JobQuote for a business, you confirm you are allowed to agree to these terms for it.
2. What JobQuote does
You describe a job in your own words. JobQuote uses an AI service to read the description and turn it into a draft quotation, which you can edit. When you issue it, JobQuote saves a copy of the quote exactly as it was and makes a PDF you can download and send yourself.
- The AI only reads. It does not decide prices. Prices come from you or from your own catalogue. If a price or quantity is missing or was guessed, JobQuote flags it. Totals are worked out by the app, not by the AI.
- You check every quote. The AI can misread a description. You are responsible for every quote you issue and send: its prices, quantities, terms and your customer’s details. Read it before you send it.
- JobQuote is a tool for making quotes. It does not give legal, tax or accounting advice, and it does not issue fiscal (tax authority) receipts or invoices.
3. Your account
- You must be at least 18 and able to make a binding agreement.
- Give accurate details and keep them up to date, including your business name and contact details.
- Keep your password to yourself. What happens on your account is your responsibility.
- Each account is for one business. Do not share an account between businesses.
- We may ask you to confirm your email address before you can use JobQuote.
4. Plans, credits and payment
Issuing a quote uses 1 credit. Issuing a revised version of a quote you already sent uses another credit. Describing a job, reading it with the AI, editing a draft and deleting a draft do not use credits.
- Free: every business starts with 2 free quotes. They are given once and do not renew.
- Basic: 20 quotes for $1.00 (USD).
- Pro: 100 quotes for $3.00 (USD).
- Pro-Plus: 250 quotes for $5.00 (USD).
- One payment buys 30 days. Nothing renews by itself and we never charge you again automatically. If you want another month, you pay again.
- When your 30 days end, any unused credits from that plan expire and your account goes back to Free. Your free quotes do not expire.
- If you pay for the plan you are already on, 30 days are added to it. If you move to a higher plan, it starts straight away and you keep what was left. Nothing is worked out part-way: you pay the plan’s price.
- Payments are taken by our payment provider, Pesepay. Your card or mobile-money details go to them, not to us. We record only the order, its amount and whether it was paid.
- No refunds. Payments are not refundable and unused credits are not exchanged for money, unless we decide otherwise in a particular case. If something went wrong with a payment, such as being charged twice or paying and not receiving your credits, contact us and we will look into it.
- Prices are in US dollars and may change. A change applies to payments made after it, not to a plan you have already paid for.
5. What you must not do
You agree that you will not:
- Pretend to be another business or person. Do not use another business’s name, logo, registration details or contact details, or a name so close to a real business that people may be misled.
- Put false payment details on a quote. Do not enter bank, mobile-money or other payment details that are not yours or that you are not entitled to be paid on, and do not use a quote to trick someone into paying the wrong person.
- Make quotes that are fraudulent, deceptive, or for work you do not intend or cannot do.
- Upload a logo, document or text that is unlawful, that you have no right to use, or that is harmful.
- Try to get into another business’s data, break or overload JobQuote, get round the limits on its use, or copy it by automated means.
- Try to make the AI ignore its instructions, or use JobQuote for anything other than making quotes.
- Use JobQuote to break any law that applies to you.
To report a business that is breaking these rules, write to [PLACEHOLDER: abuse email address]. Tell us the quote or business name and what is wrong.
6. Checks we may make
To keep JobQuote trustworthy, we may ask you to prove that your business is real, for example with a business registration document or other proof. We may also review a business name that looks very like another business’s. We may approve or reject what you send, and we will give a reason where we can. How we keep the documents is explained in the Privacy notice.
7. Suspending or closing an account
We may suspend or close an account, without warning where we think it is needed, if we believe that you have broken these terms, that the account is being used for fraud or impersonation, that a payment was not genuine, or if the law requires it.
- While an account is suspended you cannot sign in, so you cannot create or issue quotes or download PDFs.
- Quotes you already issued are not changed, and your credits are not taken away because of a suspension alone.
- We will tell you why where we can, and you may write to us to ask us to look again. We decide whether to lift a suspension.
- You can stop using JobQuote at any time, and you can ask us to delete your account (see the Privacy notice). Closing it does not give you a refund.
8. Your content
What you put into JobQuote is yours: your business details, logo, catalogue, job descriptions and quotes. You give us permission to store it, process it (including sending job descriptions to the AI service), and show it to you and to the people you send quotes to, so that we can run the service for you. JobQuote itself, its design and its software belong to us.
If you put other people’s details, such as your customers’ names and phone numbers, into JobQuote, you confirm that you may do so.
9. Availability and changes to the service
JobQuote is new. We work to keep it running and correct, but we cannot promise it will always be available or free of mistakes. We may change, add or remove features. Keep your own copy of any quote you send.
10. Our responsibility to you
We are responsible for providing JobQuote with reasonable care. We are not responsible for losses that come from a quote you sent, such as a wrong price or quantity that you did not catch, a job that you lost or under-priced, a customer who does not pay, or an AI mistake you did not correct. We are not responsible for losses we could not reasonably have foreseen, or for lost profit.
If we are responsible to you for something, our total responsibility is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before it happened [PLACEHOLDER: lawyer to confirm this limit]. Nothing in these terms limits anything the law does not allow us to limit.
11. Changes to these terms
We may change these terms. If a change matters, we will tell you by email or in JobQuote before it starts. If you keep using JobQuote after the change starts, you accept it. If you do not accept it, stop using JobQuote and ask us to close your account.
12. Law and contact
These terms are governed by the laws of Zimbabwe. We would like to settle any problem by talking first. If we cannot, it may be taken to the courts of Zimbabwe [PLACEHOLDER: lawyer to confirm the court or other dispute process].
Questions about these terms, and reports of abuse: [PLACEHOLDER: abuse email address].
